2. TensorRT Optimization Pipeline

Deploying PyTorch models directly on edge hardware results in unacceptable memory footprints and thermal throttling. We apply a rigorous three-stage compilation pipeline:

  1. ONNX Graph Pruning: Eliminate dead nodes and fold batch normalization layers into preceding convolutional weights.
  2. TensorRT Engine Compilation: Select optimal kernel algorithms based on the target GPU architecture (Ampere).
  3. FP16 & INT8 Quantization: Calibrate activation ranges with representative factory imagery to preserve accuracy within 0.3% mAP while cutting latency in half.
